Royalty free images

We are presently contacting talented photographers from around the world who would be interested in submitting high quality images to a new and rapidly growing library.

It is not necessary for you to be a professional photographer to be a contributor to Image Register. All that we ask is that you are able to prepare your images to the following standard:

- Camera - Minimum 6 megapixels captured images saved in camera as JPEG level 10 with no sharpening no contrast adjustment or image manipulation.

- Best is a DSLR of more than 6 megapixels capturing in RAW or TIFF format

The first step

Register with imageregister.com as a seller and agree the terms and conditions and the contributor's contract.

The second step

Prepare your images using the following guide lines.

Computer manipulation - We recommend that all preparation of the image be done in Photoshop version 6 or above.

When capturing images that are not TIFF you must convert to TIFF before any adjustments to the image are made.

Colour space is 24 bit RGB, 8 bits per channel Adobe 1998.

White points must not exceed a value of 252.

Black points must not be less than a value of 3

Sharpening (USM) Amount 0 to 100% Radius 1 to 2 pixels Threshold 0 to 4 levels.

Sharpening is not always needed and should only be used when absolutely necessary.

Retouch and spot to remove all visible imperfections such as scratches dust and hair.

When you have finished making any necessary corrections to the TIFF file check the file at 100% image view size, when you are satisfied that you have a perfect image with no noise, artifacts, distortion, moiré or colour fringing, you are then ready for the final adjustment. This is to set the image size to 48 MB minimum (best is between 48 and 52MB). After you have resized save the file as an uncompressed TIFF and keep this file as this file is your master file.

The file must then be saved as a level 12 JPEG for sending to Image Register. We only accept JPEG files that when opened in Photoshop are a minimum of 48 MB.

Please note that the JPEG file that you send to Image Register will show as much smaller than 48MB. This is because it is a compressed file.

If you have model or property releases for your images it will increase the sales potential of your work considerably.
